Motolegends Guildford: the next breakfast meeting is Sunday, the 5th June 2022. The theme is Japanese bikes :0)

Our next breakfast meeting is this Sunday; the Sunday at the end of the Jubilee bank holiday. It’s the third of the five meetings we’ll be hosting this summer. Each one is themed. We’ve had British bikes, and we’ve had German bikes. This coming weekend it’s Japanese bikes, although of course you can show up on any bike you want.

As has been the case at previous meetings, our favourite local butcher, Rawlings of Cranleigh, will be serving up their delicious bacon, sausage or halloumi baps. They will be hot to trot from 9.00 am. The Coffee Lady will be on site with two vans. Now the breakfast is totally on us, but the coffee is on you. But this is proper coffee. This coffee has nothing in common with the hot brown water you get from Costa. This is the real deal. What we do have to say is that these breakfast meetings do seem to be growing in popularity. Now we haven’t run out of food so far, but we’re not taking chances, so we’ve upped the numbers for this weekend because, let’s face it, there are lots of Japanese bikes out there.

This month it’s all about bikes from the land of the rising sun, but obviously you can pitch up on anything with two wheels. But if your bike is not a Japanese one we’ll direct you to the ‘Car Park of Shame’. In fact, this month, we will also be directing most Japanese bikes to that area because we are going to try and fill the main paddock with what we might term classic Japanese machinery. Rather arbitrarily, we’re categorising any pre-2000 bike as classic (go Jeff!). We’re just trying to make the paddock a bit more interesting.

Here is the write up from this meet - a damp day but worth the effort!
