Spoofed email - messages with a forged sender address

Email spoofing is the creation of email messages with a forged sender address.

Because the core email protocols do not have any mechanism for authentication, it is common for spam and phishing emails to use such spoofing to mislead the recipient about the origin of the message.

So... If you receive an email (at home or work), be aware that scammers are out there. They are after your personal information, bank details & money. Before you open that email: stop & think. Before you forward that email, are you sure it is kosher? Before you open that attachment - Take Five.
