Windows 7: A year after the end-of-support deadline, millions choose not to upgrade

A year after Microsoft officially ended support for its long-running OS, a small but determined population of PC users would rather fight than switch. How many? No one knows for sure, but that number has shrunk substantially in the past year.

On the eve of Microsoft's Windows 7 end-of-support milestone, some analytics experts were consulted and it was calculated that the owners of roughly 200 million PCs worldwide would ignore that deadline and continue running their preferred OS.

Still running Windows 7? Wanna know why this is a terrible idea?...

"GCHQ has warned people not to do internet banking or use emails from computers with Windows 7 from 14th Jan 2020, when Microsoft will end support for the software".

Also in business if you are hacked (etc) and are found to be running an unsupported Operating System - it is likely that your business insurance would be invalidated, and the ICO would be likely to have a serious word with you... DO NOT RISK IT!
