Mum launches motorbike awareness campaign in son's memory: Mum Ria Brisland is campaigning for a motorbike awareness course to be included in the driving theory test.
Three years ago Ria's 19-year-old son Nick was killed in a collision in Southampton. The accident that took his life was due to the negligence of another driver who pulled out and onto the road claiming he didn't see him coming.
Ria Says: More incidents could be stopped if only drivers and cyclists learnt how to better interact on roads. To make sure this happens, myself and bikers alike, are calling for the vehicle theory test to include a mandatory section on how drivers and bikes can look out for each other on road. An example could be having a short informative video showing how there is a lack of vision from a drivers perspective.
Nothing will ever bring our boy back, but if his accident can prevent another then not all is lost in vain. That's why need you to sign this petition and help this go as far and as wide as possible. Please sign and share. Thank you.
